I feel that men are generally more healthier than women. Woman have to deal with all of the complications associated with childbirth, as well as being two to four times more likely to be diagnosed with depression than men. When it comes to heart disease, women are less likely than men to be diagnosed accurately. Once diagnosed, women are less likely to receive the same quantity and quality of tests and medications than men. It has also been proven that other diseases such as STD's, Autoimmunie disorders, obesity and diabetes are more prevalent in women. I had never thought of health as a "men's health vs. women's health" issue before reading these articles. It gave me a different outlook on today's health issues. As a woman, the lack of research and funding for women's health issues is a major concern to me. It was alarming to read of the lack of knowledge of most physicians on the subject of heart disease in women. Health, rather it is men's or women's, is important in any family. We all have loved ones whom we would always like to see in good health. When a loved one is ill, we want the best medical treatment possible for that person. In the hectic confusion of madness and murder that is William Shakespeare's Hamlet, it is easy to underestimate the importance of less dramatic and dynamic characters. While Polonius, the father of Hamlet's love, Ophelia, does not deliver existential speeches or commit horrible atrocities against family, he certainly plays a major role in the plot development and overall flow of the play. Also, despite the fact that Shakespeare uses him mostly as a tool to move the story along, Polonius develops a unique personality throughout the play and adds to the depth of the tragedy. Most importantly, Polonius plays a pivotal role in providing comic relief, uncovering Hamlet's "madness," and establishing a dramatic turning point in the play.

If Hamlet maintained a high level of dramatic tension throughout the entire production, any audience would be exhausted after several hours. Polonius acts the first of these scenes when he goes before the king and queen in an attempt to explain Hamlet's bizarre behavior. Polonius's blatant hypocrisy and foolishness is good for a laugh, and it effectively relaxes the audience so they may absorb future dramatic scenes.

Polonius also serves to show us Hamlet's new "madness." Intending to judge his madness, Polonius approaches Hamlet and strikes up a conversation. Hamlet does not recognize him, however, claiming that he knows Polonius as a fishmonger. Hamlets responses to Polonius are bizarre and sporadic, but most of them are true to an extent. Thus, Polonius states "Though this be madness, yet there is method in't" (II ii -). Polonius is a noble man, and he feels guilt for his role in making Hamlet mad. Unfortunately, he seems to be caught up in something much larger than himself, and he ends up paying the price.

Unfortunately for him, Polonius's most important contribution to this play is his death, which marks the major turning point in the plot. This event drastically changes the audience's view of Hamlet from a noble man out to avenge the death of his father to a murderer of the innocent. His nonchalant attitude about it is demonstrated when Hamlet says "Indeed, this counselor is now most still, most secret and most grave, who was in life a foolish prating knave. Come, sir, to draw toward and end with you" (III iv 6-). This paints him as a cold, disillusioned person, and causes one to lose some sympathy for him. This event also sets the gears in motion that will drive Claudius to plot against Hamlet, Ophelia to commit suicide, and Laertes to seek revenge.

Throughout his life in this play, Polonius is important in providing comic relief, uncovering Hamlet's "madness" and establishing a dramatic turning point in the play. We should be glad, in a way, that Polonius is ignorant of the part he plays in this play. Had he foreseen the consequences of his involvement in this dispute, he may well have taken Ophelia to visit Laertes in France for several months.

There has been one, big recent event to show that metropolitan police do blame music and band members for violence in the community. This event would be and being shot dead in Aston due to a gang shoot out in a territorial situation. 'So solid crew' (a music band) have been blamed for influencing these gang members. Three members of the band have been in trouble with the law regarding gun crimes. At their concerts, they, and people in the crowd have been in possession of guns. One of the band members (Asher D) was put in prison last year due to a gun crime. Statistics show that gun related crime has doubled in the past five years.

Music may have a little affect on a person along with peer pressure-the influence overall may be very strong. Recently a lot of people seem to be changing their appearance by wearing different clothes, hairstyles and accessories. People have been wearing the latest sports labels and have suddenly started to wear baggy jeans and hoodies (representing certain bands). This used to be an expression of individuality but is now becoming a trend. There are children aged seven to thirteen wearing sports trousers and a heavy rock hoody. If they wear their clothes to express their personality then they have a mixed one. At the moment there is a lot of labelling taking place. Jeans and hoodies represent an alternative person and clothes from chain stores and sports labels represent people to be like others. To mix these is just silly but that is what people are doing. In my opinion, children as young as 11 should not be exposed to Slipknot lyrics. What is shown on the T.V before ten pm is cut but parents need to be more aware of what their younger children are listening to.
